Nigerian Athlete Tobi Amusan has made a flying start to the season, as she clocked 7.77s to win the women’s 60m hurdles at the World Athletics Indoor Tour where she won Gold in a tournament that kicked off in Astana, Kazakhstan, January 27, 2024.
The 26-year-old Nigerian Athlete set a new African record, thrashing Gloria Alozie’s record of 7.82s, which she set about 25 years ago.
Amusan now holds the title as she becomes the second fastest 60m hurdles winner setting a new personal time in the new year to set a new personal best of 7.77s.
With this new win on Tobi’s side, the year is off to a big start.
