She’s dynamic, focused, a go-getter and known in the workplace as an absolute foodie…

Martinique Webb (“yes, like the Island” as she likes to say) is our Content Acquisitions Manager.

Martinique first started her 13 year broadcasting adventure working for Bid-up & Price Drop TV – the thrilling interactive shopping television experience of the 00’s. Since then she has built up some solid media experience at SKY Media, SKY Movies, NBC Universal, The Modern Times Group…and the list goes on.  With a strong editorial eye for the curation of entertainment content to curate compelling viewing selections; both linear and non-linear, if you have content that you believe would appeal to our target audience, Martinique is your girl!

Quick five questions…

What’s the one food you could never bring yourself to eat?

Brussel sprouts, I have just weathered the one time of year when people seem to keep offering them to you! I managed to only have to nibble one all Christmas  – just out of good manners lol

1- What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

All About My Mother (1999) by Pedro Almodovar – it’s a beautiful Spanish film that is populated with richly textured characters and a cyclic narrative structure that stands up to many viewings.

2- What makes you roll your eyes every time you hear it?

“Back in my day”…..yeah yeah they had coal mines, Poll tax and Thatcher it wasn’t that great. ?

3- If someone narrated your life, who would you want to be the narrator?

Angela Bassett – she is the epitome of cool for me and nobody does sassy and forthright as good as she does in Waiting to Exhale.

4- What songs hit you with a wave of nostalgia every time you hear them?

The Macarena – youth discos nuff said.

5- If you had to pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?

I wouldn’t – took me years to grow into my name as nobody at school or when I was little in the UK had a name like mine but now I’m happy with it, finally.
