Femi Fani-Kayode defected to the APC… So what?

18 Sep 2021

Nigerians can be petty sometimes, the past 10 months or so has seen different styles of defection or should I say cross-carpeting from one political party to another in Nigeria. A few of them very sensational, a bunch of others unceremoniously.

Defection in the real sense, is part of human nature; else, how do you explain the divorce of “till death do us part”?

One thing that shouldn’t be strange is the eclectic nature of Ẹ̀gbọ́n FFK, that intriguing man with the command of words like no other.

Defection to me is his stock in trade and when someone said, FFK’s mind is often where his mouth his; I wanted to disagree but he reminded of Ẹ̀gbọ́n’s utterances and write-ups about the man at the helms of affairs and I started thinking.

Reverse psychology is what I see FFK using. He pushed, pulled and shoved the president/presidency and the ruling party, till they got the message and now they will be dining together, hopefully for a long time.

Figure the mouth and the mind part on your own.

Nigerians will not stop talking, the late Chief Remi Fani-Kayode has been dragged into the conversation. I don’t know when Nigerians will let our late warriors rest. Let the poor man rest in peace biko.

FFK defect to APC, what would you do if you were in his shoes?

As a serial player, you can only expect FFK to always look for a field where the grass is greener and it shouldn’t shock that our brother has decided to pitch tent on a lush ground.

Now that he has changed base, should we continue to cry over spilt milk?

Really, of what consequence is Femi Fani-Kayode’s new found love to the price of garri in the market?

Abeg! Make we move jàre!
