Deontay Wilder ‘decides on ring walk costume’ after blaming last one for Tyson Fury defeat

After blaming his last ring walk attire for his defeat to Tyson Fury in February 2020, Deontay Wilder has reportedly decided on his costume ahead of their third meeting on October 9.

Deontay Wilder has decided on his ring walk outfit ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury – after blaming his defeat last time on his costume. The American is preparing to face Fury for the third time in their epic trilogy in Las Vegas on October 9.

After suffering an eighth-round defeat via TKO in his rematch with the Brit, Wilder accused Fury of cheating.

The 35-year-old went on to allege his water was spiked with muscle relaxers before the fight, and even suggested such an act was carried out by his own co-trainer Mark Breland, who threw in the towel to condemn Wilder to the first defeat of his career.

Wilder also blamed his loss on the $40,000 outfit he wore back in February 2020, suggesting the weight of it was at fault for his lacklustre performance.

The Bronze Bomber is still planning to wear a unique walk costume for his third clash with the Brit – and it will be ‘significantly lighter’.

Wilder has turned to designers Cosmo and Donato, who designed his 2020 piece as well as several others for the American, and they promised there will be no issues with this attire.

Wilder modelled the outfit, which took three weeks to make, in their store two weeks ago.
