50 for One Pound: The Spate of Kidnappings in Naija

17 Mar 2024

Hi Folks,

Ordinarily, I should be talking about the positive vibes that is all around me but the daily report of Kidnappings and banditry in the land is heart-wrenching.

With over 700 people kidnapped in 10 days, most students and the youth; one can only raise an alarm.

While still trying to recover from that, we read of the attack and killing of officers in an army convoy on a peace-keeping exercise in Delta State, Nigeria.

Why would I want to speak of  jollyment when my neighbors are writhing in pains and the state of the economy dwindle despite efforts by all and sundry to ameliorate and get the people to a better place.

First 2000 vehicles assembled in Lagos in recent times finally sees the light of day, hopefully, prices of vehicles will start coming down. A GAC Motors collaboration with the Lagos State Government, more vehicles are expected in the coming days.

We are hoping to see the day when millions ofade in Nigeria rice will flood the market. I have only seen Eko rice on television. How is a bag of Eko rice sef?

Let’s continue to be hope that the measures being taken by government will lead us to better days.

Remember, make someone happy today through your acts of kindness.

Yours,

Ilupeju B
