Hi Folks,
It was a cool Wednesday in most parts of Lagos and that is pretending the sun wasn’t so hot.
Many thought the days of #ENDSARS were over, but these old women and a bunch of young fellas have proven that thought wrong as they took to the streets in protest.
The old women and some young men were seen with various placards in the Yaba/Tejuosho area of Lagos, defying the scorching heat to march for almost two hours.
Some of them carried tiny Nigerian flags and chanted #EndSars as they marched along.
#Endsars protest live at tejuosho road yaba Lagos by our mothers.. the pace has been set.. it's time to speak up.. #SoroSokeGeneration Their placard says “we march for our children” #SoroSoke
God bless these old women in the sun protesting for us!!! #EndPoliceBrutality pic.twitter.com/Cx56slEbav— ShortFuse (@Odafe_D) December 3, 2020
The protests were reported to have been peaceful and lasted only a few hours.
Let’s hope the demands of these lot is attended to in good time.
Covid-19 is still very much around so please stay safe.
Remember to make someone smile wherever, whenever with your acts of kindness.
Yours,
Ilupeju B
