With this being the first edition, it’s only right that I start with Lindsey Oliver, the reason why we’re here and the reason some of us have a reason to get out of bed in the morning as she is the Managing Director of Africa MediaWorks Limited and YANGA!
L.O worked in Lagos as TV Continental’s Commercial Director and interim CEO. Our boss has quite a few accolades under her belt, having previously been the International Commercial Director at Bloomberg Television, Founding Director of Al Jazeera International, based in Doha. It’s fair to say that our Lindsey Oliver is an experienced media professional but that’s not all, Lindsey is also a qualified lawyer and has worked for international media organisations, including CNBC Europe and Bloomberg Media in senior executive roles, in both legal and commercial capacities.
I asked Lindsey Oliver a few quick questions so we can all get a sense of her away from work.

A: Back in time to run like the wind and avoid a broken heart

A: This too shall pass…. (Except it’s only partially true!)

A: Have a full-blown argument with Jack Welch in a meeting
